Sergio Ramirez performs an evening of solo guitar at Sobremasa, drawing from the Mexican and Latin American songbook in a setting that mirrors the music's roots - handmade tortillas, mezcal, and a room built around Mexican craft and culture.
A Bronx-born guitarist trained at the Manhattan School of Music and Purchase College, Ramirez has performed at Lincoln Center, SFJAZZ, and the Perelman Arts Center, and appears on Arturo O'Farrill's 2026 GRAMMY-nominated album Mundoagua. His dual formation in classical technique and jazz improvisation gives his solo playing a rare combination of clarity, depth, and spontaneity.
A rare opportunity to experience solo guitar in an intimate dinner setting, where the music and the room speak the same language.
